Teachers’ Pay to be Docked for Day of Demonstration

vlcsnap-2014-03-27-20h56m00s139Principals have been asked by the Ministry of Education to dock the pay of those teachers who participated in the Friday March 7th demonstration.  This is what various teachers have told Plus News.

The teachers were wondering whether or not it would have been for more than one day as the following Monday was a public and bank holiday, but today we are receiving information from teachers that their principals say the Ministry has requested that only the Friday pay be docked.

A teacher had ascended at the steps of the national assembly to demonstrate against certain issues such as the Penner investigation, corruption, worker safety, and getting their promised salary adjustment in writing.
