Teenager accused of wounding co-worker

A teenager from Lord’s Bank, Belize District, faces charges of wounding and aggravated assault.

19 year old Clyde Morris, who works at the Philip Goldson International Airport in Ladyville, is accused of attacking his co-worker, aero-dispatacher Alfonso Assi, 21, with a pair of scissors, resulting in a cut wound to his right small finger.

The incident happened in front of Benny’s Restaurant at Mile 8 1/2 on the Philip Goldson Highway on Wednesday.

Clyde Morris was read the charges before Magistrate Ladonna John in Court #8, and entered a plea of not guilty. He was released on bail of $3,000 and returns to court on March 18.
