vlcsnap-2013-03-21-20h33m45s228A teenager is tonight on remand after he allegedly tried to kill four persons in a chilling shooting incident. 18 Akeem Augustine has been charged with four counts of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and four counts of aggravated assault. Police say around 6 o clock on Tuesday night, two teenagers, one sixteen and the other fifteen, were hanging out at the corner of Police Street and Lacroix Boulevard with two other young men, when the two teens decided to go to a nearby store. The minors say that on their way, three men set chase after them. The minors then ran back toward Police Street where they saw the two persons they were previously hanging out with. That was when Augustine reportedly pulled out a handgun and fired several shots in their direction. They managed to escape unhurt. Augustine was later caught by police and charged in relation to the shooting. Due to the nature of the offense, he was not granted bail, but was sent straight to prison, until his next court date on April 22nd. Police say they are still seeking the other persons believed to be involved.
