Three charged for Paul Jex’s murder

A pair of brothers identified as 19 year old Nelson Samir Paguada and his 15 year old brother, along with 45 year old Timothy Carcamo, were all charged for the murder of Paul Jex Jr. The accused are all fisherman from San Pedro and were arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court this morning before Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser.  The trio was read a single charge of murder. No plea was taken and they were all remanded into custody.  During their arraignment, the older brother asked the court what he could do to sue the Belize Police Department for charging him for a crime he was never involved in.    In court, all claimed that they did not even know who was the victim. Police say they arrested the men based on eye witness account since the murder of Jex happened in broad daylight on January 3rd.  The minor was remanded to the Wagner’s Facility while the two adults were remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until April 27, 2018.
