Tortilla Vendor robbed in Belize City

A tortilla vendor was robbed in Belize City.

On February 15, 40-year-old Francisco Mai Jr., a tortilla vendor and a resident of Albert Street, Belize City, reported that at about 11:20a.m, while he was on Lake View Street, Belize City he was  approached from behind by four men of dark complexion. Two of the men were armed and both of them held a firearm to both sides of the vendor’s  neck. They proceeded to rob him of $300.00bcy and a Motorola brand  flip phone valued at $165.00bcy. The culprits then rode off in the direction of Vernon Street, and made good their escape.

Police investigation into the matter continues.
