Tour guide chopped to the head on Goff’s Caye

A tour guide was chopped to the head while on Goff’s Caye. On Tuesday December 15, 52-year-old Glenford Gill, a Belizean tour guide, reported that at about 4:00 p.m. that afternoon,  after the tourists had left Goff’s Caye, a man whom he knows as Henry , who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol,l approached him and demanded money. Gill said he refused to give Henry money and that is when  Henry pulled out a machete and chopped Gill to the left side of his head. Henry then ran to his boat and fled the island. Gill was taken to the KHMH where he was treated and released. Police investigations continue./
