TWO CHARGED FOR MOON GROCERY ROBBERY

Tonight two Belize City youths are on remand at the Belize Central Prison after recently turning teenagers and are accused of committing an armed robbery in the city one of many that has occurred over a few weeks of increase in robberies in the city both on the North and Southside. This morning, 18-year-old Rikish Rimani Rhaburn, along with 19-year-old Kentroy McKoy, a Fisherman of, Belize City were arraign in the Court room of Magistrate, Khadeen PalmerThe duo were charged jointly with two counts of robbery upon Moon Grocery Store owner, Guo Jin Li, 50, a Chinese businessman and for the robbery of one of his customer, 44-year-old Herbert Michael Metzgen ,a Mechanic of Sand hill. Both men pleaded not guilty to the charge. The prosecutor objected to bail being granted to the accuse men based on the law which states that the offense is alleged to have been carried out with a firearm.
