Two fatal road accidents

Ladyville Police are investigating a fatal Friday evening traffic accident. It happened at an area between miles 24 and 25 on The Phillip Goldson Highway. Police say when arrived on the scene, they saw the body of 16yr old Dillon Davis, a Belizean Mechanic of Gardenia Village lying on the left side of the highway. He had multiple head and body injuries. Investigation revealed that at 6:15pm, 17yr old Joshua Bueckert, a Belizean student of Blue Creek Village, was driving a Chevrolet pickup from the direction of Orange Walk to Belize City when he knocked down Davis who had been riding a bicycle in the same direction. According to Bueckert, Davis made a sudden left to cross the road in-front of him. A Notice of Intended Prosecution has since been served on Bueckert and a urine sample obtained.

The second fatal road traffic accident took place yesterday afternoon at mile 1 on the George Price Highway. When Police arrived at that scene, they saw a red 4 door Sunfire Pontiac Car on its roof and its 4 wheels in the air. Trapped inside vlcsnap-2013-05-13-20h46m21s224the car was 19 year old Lexie Bradford Dixon, a Belizean Security of Faber’s Road.With the help of fire personnel and Bert Emergency staff, Dixxon  was taken out of the vehicle but he was already dead. Initial investigation revealed that at 12:20am Dixon was seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle which was being driven by 19 year old Dominic Tatum. The duo was travelling towards Belize City and upon reaching mile 1 in front of Harry’s Import, Tatum lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn several times. Also in the vehicle was 17yr old Collington Armstrong, who received a small cut wound to the forehead and complained of pain to the neck. The driver, Dominic Tatum received a large cut wound on the top of the head. TATUM was admitted to ward in a stable condition. The body of 19yr old Lexie Dixon was transported to KHMH where it was pronounced dead on arrival.
