Dangriga police have charged two persons for the murder of retired Fire chief 51 year old Ralton Wilburn Patnett. Parnett’s burned body was found earlier this week in a car which was set on fire. According to the result of a post mortem examination, Patnett was shot to the chest and abdomen and the car was apparently burned to try and cover up evidence. Ballistics confirmed that his injuries were as a result of a 12 Gauge single action shotgun Rossi Brand which was reported stolen on June 8 from the residence of 68-year-old Edmond Domenic Couch, an American retiree of Denver Colorado, United States and residentof commerce Bight road , Dangriga town. That gun was stolen during a burglary. The care taker of the building was 51-year-old Ralton Wilburn Patnett who was subsequently shot and killed allegedly with the same firearm which was recovered along with (34) live 12 gauge cartridges brand Aguila in an abandoned lot in the commerce Bight Road Area, Dangriga Town, Stann Creek District. Yesterday, police linked the gun and the murder to 30-year-old Brandon Mason Kerr of ml 21, George Price Highway and 32-year-old Lindberg Oxford Williams of Commerce Bight Road Dangriga . Both men were charged jointly with “MURDER”.
