Last week we showed a battered Philip Henry who says he was attacked on a trip to the old capital. Just before 6 o’clock on Friday morning, Henry says he was buying food in front of the bus terminal, when a grey pickup parked behind him. Allan Kelly and Brian Audinett, better known as Yellowman, exited the vehicle and allegedly assaulted Henry, dislocating his jawbone and injuring his eye. Well today those men were hauled to court. 31-year-old Brian Edward Audinett, who is better known as “Yellow man”, along with 30-year-old Zone Inspector of the Ministry of Housing, Allan Dale Augustus Kelly, were jointly charged in the Belize City magistrate’s court where they were slapped with six criminal offenses. One count each of using insulting words, one count each of harm upon Henry, one count each of assaulting a police officer upon PC#1366, Wilbert Chi, one count each of wounding upon PC Chi, one count each of common assault upon Henry and last but not least, one count each of threatening words upon Henry. Prosecutor in the case, Cpl. Dean Augustine did not object to bail but told the court that in the case of Kelly, he owed the court and he must pay his outstanding fine before bail could be considered. Audinett was offered bail in the sum of $3,000 plus one surety of the same amount. He was given bail with conditions that he must stay away from Henry and his family members and that he must stay away from areas where Henry may be at any time until the case is disposed of. It was not until 4:00 this evening that Yellowman met his bail and at 4:30 p.m., Kelly who paid his old fines for an outstanding traffic offense, was able to be granted bail in the same amount plus one surety of the same with the same conditions as Audinett, aka Yellowman. Both men are due back in Court on August 28, 2013.
