Tuesday morning police made two more drug busts in Belize City. at around 8:30 a.m. a police team that comprised of special Branch, Mobile Interdiction Team, Special Patrol Unit, Anti Drug Unit and the k-9 Unit investigated underneath a gray Volvo car parked on the Oleander Street, where there was suspected to be hidden weed. As a result the team discovered 111 grams of weed wrapped in a black plastic bag and placed inside a plastic bottle. The drugs were labelled as found property.
Later that morning at around 10:00 a.m. the team conducted another search at a residence in Belama phase 1. Four individuals, 28 year old Steve Zelaya, 28 year old Adrian Myvett, 23 year old Marcellie Halliday and 32 year old Tricia Marshalleck, were present during the search. All of them came out clean during individual searches, however. The police are believed to have seen Adrian Myvett throw a black kit bag in a river directly behind the house. The bag was recovered and revealed something incriminating – 2 plastic bags of weed which weighed a total of 4,230 grams. All four individuals present were arrested and charged for drug trafficking.
