Two persons detained following stabbing of elderly man in Orange Walk

An elderly man was stabbed by a drunk woman in Orange Walk. On Saturday, 13 July 60 year old  Aristeo Cowo Sr., a Belizean Laborer of Orange Walk Town, was stabbed to the upper left side of his chest. Police say that at 6:45 p.m. that day, Aristeo was at home when two females arrived at his home apparently under the influence of alcohol. They reportedly had an argument during which one of them stabbed Aristeo with a knife in his chest. Aristeo was transported to the Orange Walk Regional Hospital. Police have since detained a 16 year old female and 20 year old woman pending investigation.
