Two shootings, no injuries

There was a shooting in Belize City on Monday morning.

According to police reports, sometime around 9 a.m., shots were fired on Faber’s Road Extension.

37-year-old Harrison Blades visited the police station in his Mazda van, which had a bullet hole to the left front passenger side door.

Initial investigation revealed that Mr Blades was seated inside the van in front of his house when he was approached by a man of fair complexion on a bicycle, who pointed a firearm at him and fired a single shot in his direction and sped off. Both front windows of the van were shattered. No one was injured during the shooting.

Police are seeking a man whom they believe can assist in their investigations.


There was another shooting incident in Belize City where, thankfully, no one was injured.

This one happened just before 8 o’clock Monday night, when shots were fired on Racoon Street Extension.

28-year-old Leroy Richards reported that at about 7:30p.m., while socializing in his yard along with three friends, a man of fair complexion ran inside his yard and fired two shots towards his direction. The perpetrator then ran in the direction of Iguana Street Extension, making good his escape. No one was injured.

Police are seeking the suspect as investigations continue.
