15 Belizean veterinarians from across the country are participating in a four-day accredited training course. The exercise started on Tuesday at the University of Belize Central Campus. Courtesy our colleague Patrick Jones from West Vision, here are more details on the training.
Dr. Miguel DePaz – BAHA Representative:
We will be teaching them how the testing and sampling for tuberculosis and brucellosis should be done, and simultaneously these activities will also be taught on animal chasability, and to be more specific cattle chasability. There’ll be hands-on training. We’ll be going to one of the Barton Creek [facilities] to do hands-on training. They will actually test and sample animals, and it will be documented.
