vlcsnap-2014-04-17-02h06m57s200William Lloyd Webster, a Canadian National died at the age of 63 on Sunday December 23rd 2012, in Santa Elena, Cayo District.  According to reports, Webster’s lifeless body was found hanging from the noose of rope tied to a beam of his house in Santa Elena. Police formerly listed his death as suicide.  However, his wife Renee Webster, is not satisfied with the suicide story.

She says,“There was no suicide note and there are many things that just don’t add up. The circumstances surrounding his death are suspicious to say the least. For the past 16 months I have been fighting a losing battle with the local authorities. In the beginning they were just writing me off as a hysterical grieving widow.”

She has since launched her own private investigation with the help of an American investigator and has publicly revealed her findings on social media.

She says, “We utilized the San Ignacio Police crime scene photos and recreated the scene and have proved that  it was physically impossible for my husband to have hung himself as the San Ignacio Police are insisting on…We also did research into the mechanics of a hanging and the implications of Lividity (blood pooling in body after death) on the body. In both areas the physical findings on my husband’s body are inconsistent with a suicide.”

There is no word as yet from the police department regarding the grieving wife’s claims.
