A Belize City woman who is married to an American man and who has been accused of putting a hit on her husband is tonight out on Supreme Court bail. She is 39-year-old San Ignacio, Cayo resident, Frances Ayala Wilson. Frances Wilson was arraigned in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court earlier this month on a single charge of abetment to murder. Fortunately for her estranged husband, the hit was never executed and he is alive today to tell the tale. On April twenty fourth of this year, Frances Wilson allegedly approached a female police officer offering ten thousand dollars if the officer would kill her husband Glencoe Wilson. On Friday morning, with the assistance of her attorney, Simeon Sampson, Frances Wilson managed to secure bail through the Supreme Court after Justice Denis S. Hanomansingh heard a bail application on her behalf. There was no objection to bail coming from the DPP’s office and with that Justice Denis S. Hanomansingh offered her bail in the sum of $10,000 plus two sureties of $5,000 each and certain conditions by which she must abide. Frances Wilson’s next court date is set for October 1, 2013.
