The United States State Department released a World Wide Travel Alert due to recent terrorist attacks. A couple weeks ago, on the 13th of November, Paris was attacked at different locations leaving 130 people dead, and 368 people injured. Due to that attack and other intel, on the 23rd of November, the US State Department issued a World Wide Travel Alert due to suspicion that terrorists are planning more attacks using conventional and non-conventional weapons. The State Department received information which led them to believe that terrorist groups such as Isis, Boko Haram, and al-Qa’ida, are all planning terrorists attacks in different parts of the world. The advisory says that travelling at this time is not recommended, but if you must travel, be vigilant. Travelers are advised to follow the instructions of local authorities, monitor the media frequently, stay in touch with family members, and be prepared for unexpected disruptions. The Travel alert is expected to expire on the 24th of February 2016; barring any further cause for concern.
